About me
I’m an artist based in Vancouver, Canada, originally from Japan. I’ve been drawing since I was little — copying cartoon characters, sketching everyday scenes, and observing the world around me. That habit of observing, interpreting, and translating beauty into art with my hands has stayed with me to this day. It’s always a quiet joy when I feel I have succeeded in capturing something true through my drawing.
In recent years, my focus has been on figurative art. When I’m drawing from a live model, I try to capture not just the form, but the energy and emotional presence of the moment.
It’s not about labeling emotions like happiness, sadness, or anger, but about noticing subtle shifts that reflect something fundamentally human. With each line and gesture, I try to capture that quiet complexity.
I’m exploring different media and approaches to express the beauty I see in each subject and to evoke feeling. I hope you enjoy viewing my work.
